Where the in-home model matters most

Golden Gate covers two quite different places. Golden Gate City is a compact, established residential area in 34116. Golden Gate Estates is a very large, sparsely built area of acreage lots stretching east across 34117 and 34120.

For a mobile practice, the Estates are where this model earns its keep. A round trip from out there to a clinic in the city can take well over an hour on top of the appointment. For a course of therapy that means eight or ten hours of driving over a plan, which is the sort of arithmetic that quietly ends treatment programs before they finish.

Being straight about distance

Our service charge policy exists precisely because of areas like this. There are no time or distance fees for accepted patients inside the listed service area, and a $100 charge may apply for visits more than 15 miles outside 34113.

The far eastern end of the Estates can cross that line. If you are out that way, tell us your cross streets when you enquire and we will tell you before you book whether a charge applies. You should never find that out on an invoice.

What we see here

Golden Gate has a younger and more year-round population than the coastal communities, and the work reflects that. More occupational and lifting injuries, more of the back and shoulder problems that come from physical work, and more people who need to get back to a job rather than back to a golf course.

Yes. The Estates cover a large area east of the city with acreage lots, and we treat throughout it. If you are a long way east, mention your cross streets when you book so we can plan the schedule properly.

Is there a travel charge?

Golden Gate is inside the listed service area, so no. A $100 charge may apply for visits more than 15 miles outside 34113, which can come into play at the far eastern end of the Estates. We will tell you before you book rather than after.

How does the in-home model help out here?

More than anywhere else in the county. From the Estates, a round trip to a clinic in the city can be well over an hour before the appointment even starts. Removing that is the difference between finishing a plan and abandoning it.
